Arts Award Welcome Opportunities for young people U CRE8 Community Arts welcomes Arts Award participants, from centres across the North East region, to develop their Arts Award portfolios. Our Arts Award Welcome programme supports young people in taking part in arts activities, leading arts projects, researching career pathways and gaining insight into fundraising for youth arts organisations. This experience would transfer to the young peoples' Arts Award portfolios at either Bronze, Silver or Gold Level. Young participants are welcome to take part in U CRE8 steel pan workshops to develop music skills. Through this experience they may add to their Bronze Award portfoilio, section A taking part, Silver Award portfolio, Arts challenge or leadership. They also have the opportunities to explore Arts careers pathways through interviews with U CRE8 Artists. We also aim to increase work placement/volunteer opportunities taking on 3 young people over the next 3 years and working with them to develop funding bids to support music making opportunities for young people.
